By Ema ~ I was so excited to spend Mother’s Day with my lovely goddaughter. It is my first time with her for such an occasion and she is my first reason to be honored on such a day. I feel so grateful to be here!
I got all my stuff ready for the beach including filling up my Klean Kanteen with water and ice and a smoothie for breakfast which I put in my reused jar from the farmers market.
My goddaughter holds my heart and I hope to be an inspiration and support for her all my life! I do not have my own child by birth, and may never due to health issues, so being a godmother is one of my greatest joys!
We played on the beach, rode body boards upon the waves, and even swam in our tails. Her mother happened to catch one reflection of us in the water. We both had our Mertailor tails on!
We decided to go for a little hike and made our way around the point hiking through the sand and then over the lava beach.
I loved just standing there in the tide pool sinking into the sand. I was ready to transform into a mermaid, but we decided to hike onward to a little bay within the bay. It was indeed a perfect mermaid cove.
We then hiked over near the resort and found a grassy knoll to play at and lay about in the sun on the hotel chairs. We had an amazing view past our toes.
As we parted the beach for the day, my dear Stella was up a tree. She is indeed kindred to me! I just adore this little lady!
It was a perfect Mother’s Day! I am ever so blessed to call this little lady my goddaughter!
That evening I settled in at the Cedar House. I added my new stickers to my ukulele. Now it has a touch of Hawaii to carry with me as I travel.
For dinner I kept it simple and had some fruit. Some papaya from the tree in the garden here on the land and a local mango from the natural food store. It was the prefect finish to a perfect day.
