I started off my flights excited, but they were long and I had several transfers, so I was exhausted by the time I got to my last flight, which was the longest across the ocean to Hawaii.
I met a really wonderful soul on my flight, but don’t remember her name or contact info, so if you ever see this please do connect with me! When I got off the flight I was taken in by the scent of the flowers in the air. This always get me and touches my heart. I immediately found a gardenia tree and placed one behind my ear. My shuttle was waiting for me to take me to my hotel. Since I arrived so late tonight it is easier that I stay in a room and tomorrow my Goddaughters mother will come and get me to take me north so that I can see Stella dance and then go to where I will care-take for my time here.
Once at the resort I got checked in, they even gave me a lei, and then I took the monorail to my room.
It is a huge room just for me. I am so excited to be here. I love life where you are adorned with flowers. Hawaii is the good life. I also was given a beach glass bracelet from the hotel. It grants me access to certain areas. I was told they are locally made by children in the area. I was also gifted a few drinks, so I made my way down to the lobby to settle in for the evening before sleeping.
The live music was finishing just as I arrived but the ukulele player came to sit with me after and play me a few songs. He was so kind. Full of aloha. He also makes hats with mermaids on them, so we hope to connect more sometime and maybe get a mermaid wearing his hat for a photo-shoot. I love creating with others and in turn supporting one another s dreams.
I made my way back to my room walking the corridors rather than taking the train. There was so much beautiful art. Once in my room I laid my flowers next to my bed so I could appreciate their scent through the night.
It is time for me to rest now, as I hope to get a few of the cultural classes in here at the resort tomorrow before I am picked up to go see my Goddaughter. I am so excited for all I hope I can sleep. Aloha!
