Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland

By Ema ~ When I was a little girl I visited the famous Bonner’s Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, Michigan and have carried the sweet memories with me throughout my life. Since I have returned to Michigan in the last few years I have made it part of me holiday tradition to visit there and get an ornament for my tree. Last year I took our brother Elijah with me and this year was excited to take my littlest sister Elle.

Bronner’s is the largest Christmas store in the world. It has thousands of ornaments and decorations. Elle found one about as big as her.

She joined in with the carolers and sang me a little song. She is such a silly girl!

We found a few ornaments for the tree including two manatee swimming together, a big and a little one to represent us and that our travels together began with a trip to Florida. We also got a snowbaby in a shell and a miniature pickle for the tree. Do you know the hidden pickle tradition? Every year I also get a woven glass ornament. This year we got a strand of three hearts to represent the three of us sharing this Christmas together. Before we left the shop we stopped for a few pictures on the Christmas throne.

There are lots of light displays. It was quite cold, but Thomas drove us around the grounds so we could hop out and take pictures with the lights.

Our last stop was to the silent night chapel. it was not open to go in but the song was playing and we wandered the grounds before heading home. There is a ceremony here are Christmas Eve, but we have plans this year with Thomas’s family. Maybe it is something we can do next year!
